What you’ll learn
Throughout this course you will learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and a career as an Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Divisional Manager, Department Manager or Specialist Manager. The content covers all essential areas with a focus on Managing teams and projects in line with a private, public or voluntary organisation’s operational or departmental strategy as mapped out to the Institute of Apprenticeships standards.
You will also learn:

As a learner, this qualification allows you to go on to develop key skills and behaviours to support your progression towards management responsibilities and progress to higher level management & training courses and expand your management career.
Entry requirements
CoreEd Training has rigorous entry criteria for learners wishing to enrol on this course. These include:
- Preferred GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C)
- Level 1 English and Maths Functional Skills
- Residency in the UK/EEA/EU for the last 3 years and the ability to remain in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship
- The ability to meet programme modules through the job role Learners without English and Maths GCSEs or Level 2 Functional Skills will need to complete additional Functional Skills learning. Functional Skills support apprentice learning at Level 2 and Level 3. CoreEd Training strongly advises learners to complete these qualifications if they do not already have them.
Qualification
On completion of the programme, you will be awarded a professional qualification from a recognised and respected awarding body.
This qualification is equivalent to a foundation degree, or a Higher National Diploma (HND).

Alongside digital learning, some materials may need to be printed, completed offline, and then uploaded to Aptem as evidence.

For learners aged 16-18
It is mandatory to either already hold, or be able to work towards and achieve, the required English and Maths qualifications as part of the apprenticeship. These must be completed prior to gateway to completion.
For learners aged 19
and over
It is recommended that applicants hold GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent qualification). If evidence of prior achievement is not available at enrolment, learners may choose to complete these subjects separately through CoreEd, with full funding and support provided.
While English and Maths are optional for adult learners to enrol onto this apprenticeship, completing them is strongly advised – particularly for those intending to progress to a higher-level qualification in the future.
Learners cannot sit their end-point assessment until they have achieved the required Functional Skills level.
