You’ll learn to direct teams, manage projects and operations, and deliver clear outcomes, competencies that work equally well in small businesses, large corporations, or public sector organisations.

What you’ll learn

The content covers all essential areas of team leader and supervisor skills. Key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing, and developing team members, managing projects, planning, and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally.
As a learner, you will also gain valuable practical experience working alongside experienced business professionals, applying your learning to real-world scenarios and contributing to the daily operations of a business.
Entry requirements
CoreEd Training has rigorous entry criteria for learners wishing to enrol on this course. These include:
- Preferred GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C)
- Level 1 English and Maths Functional Skills
- Residency in the UK/EEA/EU for the last 3 years and the ability to remain in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship
- The ability to meet programme modules through the job role Learners without English and Maths GCSEs or Level 2 Functional Skills will need to complete additional Functional Skills learning. Functional Skills support apprentice learning at Level 2 and Level 3. CoreEd Training strongly advises learners to complete these qualifications if they do not already have them.
Qualification
On completion of programme you will be awarded the Level 3 standard in team leading/supervisor from Highfields.
You will equip yourself with the leadership capabilities, professional behaviours, and strategic understanding needed to guide teams effectively.

For learners aged 16-18
It is mandatory to either already hold, or be able to work towards and achieve, the required English and Maths qualifications as part of the apprenticeship. These must be completed prior to gateway to completion.
For learners aged 19
and over
It is recommended that applicants hold GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent qualification). If evidence of prior achievement is not available at enrolment, learners may choose to complete these subjects separately through CoreEd, with full funding and support provided.
While English and Maths are optional for adult learners to enrol onto this apprenticeship, completing them is strongly advised – particularly for those intending to progress to a higher-level qualification in the future.
Learners cannot sit their end-point assessment until they have achieved the required Functional Skills level.
